Immerse yourself in the enchanting charm and cozy ambiance of our Country Cottage home addition and renovation, where timeless elegance meets modern comfort. We took great care to infuse this home with the cozy, quaint, and romantic essence of a countryside retreat.

The exterior of the house now boasts a picturesque façade, featuring a mix of painted wood siding and traditional brick, complemented by a cedar-shingled roof. We added charming details such as arched porticos, vintage lanterns, and colonial windows to enhance the storybook appeal. A lush, manicured garden with winding pathways and colorful flower beds leads to a custom-built swimming pool and hot tub, completing the idyllic setting.

Step inside to find a warm and inviting atmosphere. The addition features coffered ceilings, mid-toned hardwood floors, and a color palette inspired by nature, with soft greens, creams, and fruity tones. We installed large, mullioned windows to flood the rooms with natural light and provide stunning views of the garden. Custom millwork throughout captures the dollhouse-like essence the clients desired. The hall cabinetry, especially whimsical with arched cupboards, houses precious antique dish sets. This same style flows seamlessly from the mudroom (too precious for the term “mud”) right through to the office. The bathroom between the children’s rooms was redesigned with marble and brass fixtures, with the arched shower entrance left bare.

And suddenly, you are transported from nostalgia to indulgence, where the lounge, primary bedroom, and ensuite take on an energetic and virile mood. A bold and dark color palette of grays mixed with marble-like quartz and adorned with brass fixtures echoes the elegance of a bygone era, creating a timeless space that effortlessly blends modern sophistication with classic charm.

No detail was overlooked in this renovation. From handcrafted woodwork and vintage lighting fixtures to the inclusion of built-in seating with shelving, every element was thoughtfully chosen to enhance the Country Cottage ambiance.
