Lionel holds a Higher Technician degree in Building Technology & Management and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), bringing over a decade of experience to the construction industry.
His career began in 2008 when he founded and operated a successful import-export company. In 2011, he transitioned into construction project management, overseeing medium to large-scale developments ranging from $2 million to $140 million CAD. His portfolio includes multi-family residential and office projects, most notably the construction of a major French insurance company’s headquarters—a high-profile project that involved working under executive leadership and in coordination with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In 2019, he relocated to Canada. With project management opportunities limited during the early days of the pandemic, he worked as a carpenter from 2020 to 2022, gaining valuable on-site construction experience. In September 2022, he resumed his project management career with a custom home builder on Vancouver Island, and moved back to Vancouver in early 2023.
Outside of work, he is a passionate sailor who has crossed the Mediterranean Sea twice by sailboat. He recently purchased a 30-foot sailboat on Vancouver Island, which he continues to repair and sail. He is also an avid traveler, having visited 15 countries and looking forward to many more.
