Growing up building skateboard ramps and skateparks in Great Lakes, Lasalle, Ontario, Chris Wheeler’s passion for building continued into his adulthood. Chris studied Mechanical Engineering Technology at St. Clair College. In 1997 he came to BC to earn his Red Seal Carpentry certificate at BCIT. He also earned his certificate in Firefighting at Training Division Fire Academy. Torn between the two careers, he chose to bestow his talents to the construction industry. Smithwood Builders is ever grateful he did as he is an ideal and dedicated Project Manager of the company. He brings a level of refinement and sophistication to his job sites and takes pride in his projects’ outstanding results. On days off site, Chris can be seen blazing through the skateparks listening to music, kicking it old school.
